Student Ambassadors are current students who are prepared to answer any questions a student, parent or guidance counselor might have about life on campus, the academic experience, the Utica environment or anything else at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
Ambassadors serve as representatives of SUNY Poly and are often the first person a campus visitor will meet. They should maintain a standard of personal conduct consistent with the values, expectations and responsibilities of SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
Ambassadors are required to work 6 hours per week in the admissions office in addition to mandatory admissions events throughout the year including but not limited to:

Open Houses

Accepted Student Days

Information Sessions

Shadow Days
Student Ambassadors must achieve and maintain "good academic standing," which is defined as having completed a semester with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher. GPA will be reviewed on a semester basis.
Students must have completed 1 semester of coursework at SUNY Poly to be eligible.
Compensation will be the Weekly 14 Meal Plan. There is no ability to change the meal plan options as it is set by the Aramark contract.
