    SUNY Poly Shadow Days

    WALK WITH A WILDCAT

    Register Now!

Ever wonder what college life is really like? SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s Shadow Day Program gives 11th and 12th grade students the chance to experience campus through the eyes of a current SUNY Poly student.

During Shadow Day, you’ll be matched with a student in your major of interest and spend the day doing what they do—attending classes, exploring campus, connecting with faculty, and getting an authentic feel for life at SUNY Poly.

    The Shadow Day Experience

Your visit is designed to give you an inside look at both academics and campus life. During your visit, you will:
    • Check in with our Admissions team and meet your SUNY Poly student host
    • Attend real classes and experience hands-on learning in your major
    • Explore classrooms, labs, residence halls, and favorite student spaces
    • Enjoy lunch at The Dish, our dining center, alongside current students
    • Ask questions, make connections, and learn what college life is really like

By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a better understanding of SUNY Poly, your academic interests, and what your future here could look like.
