Transfer Seamlessly to SUNY Poly from MVCC

Transfer Credit + Policies

At SUNY Polytechnic Institute, we want you to make the most of the coursework you’ve already completed. Transfer credits that count toward your degree let you build on what you’ve learned and stay on track to graduate.

Here’s what to keep in mind:

• Maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA for all courses you’re transferring.
• Courses accepted for transfer cannot be repeated for credit at SUNY Poly.
• You can transfer 76 lower division credit hours (100/200-level courses) and up to an additional 18 upper division credit hours (300/400-level courses) with a grade of C or higher.
• Grades from your previous institution will not affect your SUNY Poly GPA.

Following these policies ensures a smooth transfer and helps you focus on the courses you need to complete your degree.
